History

ATLETIKA MAGAZINE is created at the beginning of 1999. It was possible with the help of Bulgarian athletic federation and sponsors - former athletes and friends of this sport in Bulgaria.
The idea for issue belongs to Anton Bonov (former 800 m runner) and all Bulgarian journalists writing for athletics and especially - the big name in Bulgarian press - Grigor Hristov and experts and coaches from National Sports Academy of Bulgaria - like prof. Petar Bonov and prof. Apostol Slavchev.

First issue of ATLETIKA was born at 29 January 1999. The purpose of  the magazine is to make athletics more popular in Bulgaria and to get more information to readers about Bulgarian and world athletics.

The themes in the magazine underlined the most important events from Bulgarian athletics life and the greatest international athletics events like European and World championships and Olympic Games. Parallel with serious materials like analyses, statistics, history, training programs and science researches, there are and entertainment articles for interesting moments athletics lives and history photo - gallery.

ATLETIKA Magazine is published every two months.
